Day of Hope Logo

The third annual Day of Hope will be held this Saturday December 7, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Yarmouth High School Performing Arts Center.

Created and organized by Yarmouth High School students and benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine, the Day of Hope is a TED-style conference featuring Maine leaders speaking about where they find hope and how they use hope to make a positive impact on the world around them. This year’s speakers include:

- Dennis Welsh, a locally-based, world-renowned photographer

 - Kate Vickery, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Maine

 - Amy Halsted, Executive Director of the Maine People’s Alliance

 - Christian Hayes, owner of the Garrison and Dandelion Catering Co.

Through this event, our students aim to promote gratitude, incite positivity, and encourage humanity in an effort to make Maine an even better place to live for all of its residents.

Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults.  For more information, please visit the student-created website, dayofhopemaine.com, or access social media postings:
