An individual associated with Harrison Middle School (HMS), who was at the school on December 22, tested positive for COVID-19 this week.  We have been directed by Maine CDC to notify families of students who had close contact with the individual that they must quarantine their child for 10 days from last contact.

This case should not interfere with a return to hybrid learning on Monday, January 4, as the ten-day quarantine period will have passed at that point.

We ask that families continue to remain in contact with the school if they have a positive case or quarantine in their household.  While the schools eventually receive notice from the Maine Department of Education regarding any cases of COVID-19 among our students or staff, having the information provided by families allows us to being our contact tracing much sooner.
