Congratulations to Coach David Intraversato on being chosen as the Forecasters' Northern Winter Coach of the Year! Coach Intraversato has been the head coach since 2019 and this year led the Yarmouth/Freeport Hockey team to a 15-2-1 record and led the team to the State Championship. Read the story here.
Congratulations to Sadie Carnes and Stevie Walsh as the Forecasters' Winter Athletes of the Year picks for Yarmouth High School!
Sadie was a 2-year co-captain for the Yarmouth/Freeport Clippers, and she was also the recipient of the Becky Schaffer Award, which is awarded to the Top Female High School Senior Hockey Player. She finished the season with 15 goals and 22 assists. She helped lead the team to 15 program wins which is a record! Congratulations Sadie! Read the write-up here.
Stevie, a tri-captain of the Clippers, averaged 16 points per game in the regular to help lead the Clippers to the playoffs. In the Clippers' playoff run, he averaged 26 points per game, but the team eventually fell short in the Class B Regional Final. He was the recipient of the Robert Butler Award, which is awarded to the top Male and Female Player in the Western Maine Conference. Congratulations Stevie! Read the write-up here.
