Dear Families of Yarmouth Student-Athletes,
We hope you are enjoying your summer and taking some much needed time to unwind and spend time with family. With the close of the Clam Festival, that means we are just weeks from the start of the 2024 school year and the start of Fall Athletics. We look to build on our successes of last year and make 2024-25 even better! Last year we had 60% or more of our student-population participating in one or more interscholastic activity at both the high school and the middle school with 8 team State Championships and 5 individual/relay State Champions we are eager to see what our student-athletes can accomplish this year!
As we begin to prepare for the upcoming school year, it is now time to register your student-athlete for their activities. Completing the registration early ensures that you are included in all communications regarding team logistics prior to the season beginning and gives the athletic department the opportunity to plan for the number of student-athletes registered.
Prior to choosing an activity in your registration portal please remember a couple of important pieces:
HS GOLF - at this time we will be limited to 20 or less golfers on the high school team. Tryouts for this team will begin August 19th and 20th - Our coach will use the registration list to create tee times starting at 11 am - you will be notified of your student-athletes tee time - they should arrive no sooner than 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time. Please reach out with any questions
ALPINE SKIING - please remember the Alpine Ski Team is not a learn to ski program. Student-athletes should have experience skiing on at least intermediate trails. The middle school program will focus on racing fundamentals. If you have any questions, please reach out to our alpine ski coaches.
DUAL SPORT ATHLETES - at times there is the ability for a student-athlete to participate in 2 varsity activities in a given season, this is possible ONLY if approved by the administration, coaching staff and the family.
HS - BONAFIDE TEAM RULE - All High School athletes must abide by the Bonafide Team Rule. A failure to follow this rule could result in loss of time within the high school program. Please review the linked form here - hard copies for completion can be obtained with the athletic department.
MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS - Registration for athletics is open to 7th and 8th graders. If we are unable to field a full team, registration will then open to 6th grade families.
For athletic registration, we are continuing with the RSchool Today portal, at this time Fall Registration is open and ready! Please review the information below - there is vital information that will help with your registration process. We do ask that you complete the registration form for high school sports by August 14, 2024 and middle school registration by August 29, 2024 - this will ensure that every coach has accurate information regarding parent contact and medical information. If you are not registered you may not receive up to date information regarding the start of activities. Please reach out with questions - a time in August will be set up to have individuals come in for registration help if needed.
Any student who wants to participate in sports must complete the registration process. If you created an account last year, please use the same account.

Important reminders
Parents must register their students prior to the start of the season.
The registration portal does not work well with a phone or tablet, please use a computer
Only create 1 account per family - example - if parent/guardian #1 has already registered a student-athlete, parent/guardian #2 will be unable to register the same student. The program recognizes that the student already exists in the database. If you encounter issues, please contact the athletic department to help remedy the issue.
Do not click add a student under the family member tab. To add a new registration, go under the registration history tab and hit the REGISTER button, either select ‘new student’ or select the existing student and continue.
