Yarmouth Volleyball

Spectator Communication

March 30, 2021

Yarmouth Athletics is pleased to announce we will be supporting limited spectator involvement for the remainder of the volleyball home games.

The latest State guidelines will allow us to support a limited number of spectators and maintain the game personnel needed while providing the visiting teams space for the team that is not competing.

The guidelines for home spectators are as follows:

  • Each athlete can have two family members attend each home game

  • Family members must complete a self assessment health screening prior to attending (The health screening tool used by Yarmouth Athletics is included at the conclusion of this message

  • Spectators must sign in upon arrival to Harrison Middle School (side gym entrance)

  • Names and contact information will be collected for contact tracing purposes

  • Spectators must wear masks at all times, sit at least six feet from non-family spectators, and leave the facility at the conclusion of the match

Any questions regarding spectator guidelines should be directed to Athletic Director David Creech who can be reached at 846-2329.

Yarmouth Athletics - Facilities COVID-19 Screening

In order to protect the health of participants attending Yarmouth Athletic Events, all spectators must self-screen for symptoms or other risk factors of COVID-19 prior to entering the Yarmouth School Department (YSD) facility. Spectators must use this tool to provide confirmation to Yarmouth Athletics that they are approved to enter YSD facilities.

All responses to the following questions should be “yes” or “no”:

  1. Have you experienced any of the following symptoms in the past 48 hours: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea?

  2. Have you been in close physical contact in the last 14 days with anyone who is known to have laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 OR anyone who has any symptoms consistent with COVID-19?

  3. Are you isolating or quarantining because you may have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 or are worried that you may be sick with COVID-19?

  4. Are you currently waiting on the results of a COVID-19 test?

  5. Have you traveled in the past 10 days?

If you answer “yes” to any of the above questions, you will be denied entry to YSD facilities as a spectator for a Yarmouth Athletics Event.

If you decline to self-screen using a COVID-19 screening tool, then you will be denied entry to YSD facilities as a spectator.
