February is recognized by the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) as "Love the Bus Month," and this week we are celebrating Bus Driver Appreciation Week.

The Yarmouth Schools are fortunate to have a full complement of caring, expert bus drivers, who are supported by an outstanding leadership team and a dedicated maintenance staff provided by the Town of Yarmouth. Our drivers focus on safety while developing caring relationships with students and parents throughout the district, and our bus fleet routinely receives the highest ratings in Maine from State Police inspectors.

Arriving at work to inspect their buses well before the sun comes up and temperatures creep above zero degrees, oftentimes driving well into the evening and on weekends, Yarmouth's transportation team is unquestionably dedicated to getting students where they need to go - and back home again - safely and comfortably.

Please take the opportunity to say a special "thank you" to your drivers this week. Your appreciation is their greatest motivation!

It's Playoff day! Please get out and support our Clipper student-athletes as our Boys and Girls Soccer teams and Field Hockey team compete in the MPA Class B South Regional Championships! Our girls team will kick things off at McMann Field (Morse High School) in Bath at 4:00pm against Cape Elizabeth with the boys team following them at 6:30pm against Greely. Yarmouth High School will be hosting the South Regional Field Hockey Games on our turf with Class A Biddeford taking on Cheverus at 3:30pm, Class C Winthrop and Spruce Mountain playing at 5:30pm and your own Clippers team taking on Freeport in the Class B game at 7:30pm. Go Clippers!
